Chloe Colucci heard that voice on the radio, and that’s all it took.

A John Cena radio promo advertising the WWE Raw house show (no TV) on Saturday, Dec. 3 at the Bank Atlantic Center in (South Florida) Sunrise.

“When I heard his voice, I had to go,” said Colucci, a student at Cooper City High School. “He’s sexy and can rap, too. I wish he was still the champion.”

Colucci persuaded (forced) her classmate Justin Stroh to go with her. Stroh watched WWE when he was younger.

“I had the action figures,” he said. “I liked the guy with the white shirt and the steel chair.”

Mankind (Mick Foley).

Chicks dig Cena. Bros like the Mankind types. Shawn Michaels bridged their gap.

Speaking of Mr. WrestleMania, Colucci hopes to attend WrestleMania 28 in Miami when her man, Cena, battles University of Miami graduate The Rock.

“He will kick Rock’s butt,” she said with a smile.

Some first-timers had fun at the live WWE Raw house show.

Fort Lauderdale’s Lennis and Ercelia Hodgson along with their son Patrick sported their John Cena T-shirts in The Rock’s hometown.

“The Rock is my favorite,” Ercelia said.

Lennis interjected: I don’t know who’s going to win, but I’m cheering for both of them.”

Ercelia agreed.

Lennis continued: “We can’t wait to go to WrestleMania in Miami. We’ve been saving our money to go.”

Ercelia added: “Most definitely. We’re not missing that for anything in the world.”

More first-timers, Sandy Yeager brought Jaymie and Lizzy Jesky to the Bank Atlantic Center to see John Cena. The Davie resident were first in line, and Lizzy spotted Cena at the merchandise table grabbing a few T-shirts. They waved.

Yeager said: “That made it all worthwhile. We can’t wait to see him with his shirt off.”

Jaymie quickly added: “Definitely no short on.”

Yeager responded: “That’s why we’re here. Go Cena.”

New York original Michael Burns of Boca Raton networked online the night before the show and learned Fort Lauderdale’s John Pesola had an extra ticket. The two sports entertainment fans met at the Bank Atlantic Center for the show.

They already landed tickets for WrestleMania 28 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens.

“This will be wonderful. It’s my second time going to WrestleMania,” Burns said. “I went to Orlando [WrestleMania 24 in 2008], and I couldn’t believe it. I remember it was sold-out, Undertaker’s match. WrestleMania is something everyone should go to once, twice, 100 times.”

Pesola moved to South Florida in May.

“It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance,” he said, “and I might as well take advantage of this opportunity.”

West Palm Beach’s Michael Martinez wore his “I Bring It” T-shirt. This young Rock fan had no idea he was attending the WWE Raw house show at the Bank Atlantic Center.

“My dad surprised me,” Martinez said. “It all started this morning. My dad was acting so suspicious. He was smiling, and then once we were driving here, he told me, and I was excited.”

At WrestleMania 28 in Miami, Rock or Cena?

“The Rock is so electrifying and all that,” Martinez said. “It’s going to be an epic battle with John Cena, but The Rock will win.”

Masi James of Fort Lauderdale also put a smile on someone’s face, bringing young Melvin Dale to the WWE Raw house show. These two Undertaker fans are going to WrestleMania 28 Miami.

Undertaker goes for 20-0 at WrestleMania.

“We can’t wait,” James said. “It’s exciting.”

The Rock faces John Cena in the main event.

James said: “We’re glad it’s going to happen. Welcome home Rock.”

WWE WrestleMania 28 is April 1 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens. The Miami Dolphins are co-promoting the spectacular.

The Bank Atlantic Center, a quality venue, has hosted many WWE events and is home to the Eastern Division’s first place Florida Panthers pro hockey team.
