Santa Rosa Junior College is seeking the support of the community for the Bridging the Doyle scholarship program.
With the temporary loss of the Doyle Scholarship, many students who deserve awards will not receive scholarship funds to attend SRJC. The college is seeking donations to fund scholarships for high school seniors to attend SRJC next fall.
For six decades, more than $76 million from the Frank P. Doyle Trust provided scholarships to over 120,000 SRJC students. Since 2008 when the Doyle fund was suspended, the Bridging the Doyle program has given 1,181 local high school students $545,650 in financial aid.
All contributions to the SRJC Foundation’s Bridging the Doyle fund go directly to high school students, and donations are tax deductible.
To make a donation online, go to: www.santarosa.edu/bridgingthedoyle or send a check payable to the SRJC Foundation with the notation "Bridging the Doyle" to: SRJC Foundation, 1501 Mendocino Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA. 95401-4395.
